So...

This is Vancouver after our massive snowfall. Just in case you aren't familiar with my little corner of Canada, there's a reason it's dubbed "The Wet Coast". I live in a temperate rainforest. Everywhere you look there is green. Even through most of the winter. So that's why we were all a little shocked to have 89 centimeters fall in the South Coast in December where the normal snowfall is 16 centimeters.
I get that other places get a lot more snow over a season than us here but it also has been hovering a round 0, meeting and then re-freezing. The streets and sidewalks were solid sheets of ice. They say the ER was filled with injuries from slipping on the ice. Now it's raining again and there is a lot of snowing melting into our drains. Batten down the hatches, Brace for flooding!

That's a lot of snow! It seems like everyone out your way skis, so at least you probably have appropriate snow gear anyway. Nice picture...
