Photo of the Day: The Vancouver "Spring" Olympics?

It's been so lovely and warm these past days. I don't even need a jacket most of the time. At least it's sunny and not raining...

Consider though that some of that stuff came from greenhouses..It is very nice to see the daffs popping up all over and starting to bloom. Yay, for spring, and pretty pics that lift the spirit.

Flowers in February in Canada? I'm jealous. It'll be months before that happens here, and I'm south of you.

Yeah, we've seen the spring buds start popping out on the trees down here. Hope that a big chill doesn't come down in a few weeks and cause problems. I was watching some Olympics and it was so warm in Whistler the cross-country skiers were having a tough time with the heat. Also he landing zone for the women's freestyle ariels was a major slushfest. Someone was calling it the 2010 Vancouver Spring Olympics.

The flowers look beautiful. Like "If" says above, I heard the warmer weather is causing some problems for the ski events. Oh no! Shall I dare mention global warming!? ;) Enjoy the festivities! We are getting more snow today where I live!

Knowing the lower mainland, I did wonder way back when the olympics were awarded... but I thought they might just push them back into January to ensure a bit cooler temps. Hind sight, right?

The colours are beautiful tho. It will be several more weeks before we see that out here on the flatland.
