Ringing it in..

2005 began walking up Cook Street to Yates to catch the last 22 bus. I was walking with my boyfriend Ryan and my friend Claire. Wonder of all wonders... it began to snow. Ever so lightly but it was hard to ignore the icy flakes as the wind tossed them in the air and on to my face. In the background we could hear the bells from the cathedral ringing in the New Year.

It was a good night. Went to a party at a friend's and hung out with a bunch of people I've known from school over the years. Even had a couple of youngsters there(a two year old and a 10 week old baby). Just goes to show you how all our lives are changing.

And speaking of changes, I 've been thinking about what I want for this coming year. I plan to set some goals to keep me headed in the right direction. Athough they might called New Year's resolutions, I like to think that they could be made at any time.

This year will be a "Be good to Lindsay" year. In short I will do what I need to to make sure that I do what's right for me. I plan to re-start my workout routine (which I had going very well last year, thank you, but I fell off after awhile). I plan to eat better but to also treat myself when I have done well. I will organize my room properly (FINALLY!) and keep to my established budget. The ultimate goal is to keep my stress levels down and enjoy each day. Which leads me to other areas of my life I need to focus on.

My relationship is so important ot me, and this year is a big one for the two of us. I am moving to Vancovuer in September, so we'll finally be together in the same city again. There is much to do and figure out but it will all happen as it needs to.

The other area I am going to work very hard at is my art. It is my passion and I can't keep putting it off. With less classes this semester I hope I can get some good things accomplished.

Here's to a New Year, new goals and a continuing postive outlook on life and the world, no matter what happens around the world or at home.

CHEERS!!!
